Hey, clueless!

When your kid has been sick and as you sit at the dinner table they show no interest in food, let it go.

If they manage to eat a few bites, don't tell them to eat more.

If they tell you they can't swallow it, believe them.

If they start to gag, for the love of god, don't sit and watch.

If you ignore all this, at least do this, when you get them to the bathroom, trust that more is coming no matter what they say.

Oh Amanda it sounds like you are still having a rough week. I hope for your sake and the girls that everyone gets better this weekend. You have got to be just exhausted. I feel for you sister.

Dear Lord. When will it end?

This sounds like some hard earned wisdom.

Take care; hope the weekend is puke-free.

(A girl's gotta dream.)

Reads like a plaque available at your nearest "Parent Mart."

So true. Our clue that Ben is about to vomit is cuddliness. Twice now that he hasn't bounced out of bed, hasn't fought the morning diaper change, and insisted on being carried down the stairs, he's vomited the contents of his first sippy cup of the day. There's a pattern, and I've got to figure out how to avoid the messes. I can dream.

And I bet it's all made even more fun by being pregnant.

I clearly remember the day - we were in the car, looking for a place to park, when my son said, "I feel sick" and I said,"No, you don't." He said, "I'm going to throw up!" and I said, "No, you're not." and then he barfed all over me.

Good times, childhood illness, good times.

May everyone be feeling perky soon!

Poor them. Poor mama. The stomach bug blows big chunks. We've been there. Hope it goes away for you all soon and your beautiful girls are back to their chipper selves.

I don't think my daughter ever threw up till she was about 4. But my son was prone to ear infections and never showed a single sign until he puked. Ugh. I learned to make sure he drank, had crackers or dry toast or something available, but never fed him after he'd been sick until he asked for real food. Inevitably it was a request for a grilled cheese sandwich which my instincts said was bad but he always kept it down.

Hopefully it won't happen often enough for you to develop a routine. :)
